TV PublishingNow anyone can make TV Just as desktop publishers design and deploy content to print, Web and multimedia formats, now they can begin doing it for TV. TVBLOB technology enables even amateur users to make TV-ready content with little more than a video camera and a broadband connection. Of course, amateur content won't replace professional offerings, but as with the Web, there will be an explosion of new voices and new possibilities. How it works
For simple publishing, TVBLOB media centers let users record live video in LOCAL VIEW mode or when connected in a video call using a couple clicks. At the end of the recording, the user can SAVE the clip and immediately SHARE it with others in his/her ADDRESS BOOK. The clip is streamed to the other person’s box for later viewing. For more complex content and service offerings, publishers use standard editing tools for video creations, then HTML/Ajax tools to develop the front-end interfaces and business logic, just as is done for websites but optimized for TV displays. Pending regional partnerships, the services may be offered and managed locally through community portals and/or offered to the broader TVBLOB network. A browser built-in to TVBLOB Media Centers (or compatible third-party hardware) along TVBLOB portal gateway makes content accessible to the TVBLOB network. (Note: It is also possible to make content accessible to PCs.) Examples of use- Videobloggers: lets individuals blog to the TV viewing audience.
- Community sites: enables local organizations, schools, business, etc., to create TV-accessible cultural and commercial TV portals.
- Special interest sites: allows any shared interest...weddings, travel, sports, wine, food...to thrive on TV.
Custom settingsSimilar to websites, TV sites and services are custom-built, so anything is possible, however, the rules for TV display must be respected or the user experience will be poor. - Video call links: let publishers embed numbers for direct video call connections.
- VOD links: allow publishers to embed video file links, so the designs reflect the brand and business logic of the service.
- RSS delivery: lets publishers deliver content in low bandwidth areas.
